Jim Nagy

Noble James M. Nagy – born in Cortland, NY on April 13, 1964 to Joseph J. and Kathleen W. Nagy, growing up in Deerfield, New York outside Utica, NY.
Educated in Whitesboro Central Schools, graduating in 1982. Earned an Associate in Science from Mohawk Valley Community College in Engineering Science and Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from Western New England College, Springfield, MA in 1987. He also earned a Masters Science in Electrical Engineering from National Technical University in 1994. Since 1987, he has worked at Air Force Research Laboratory as researcher and program manager in the development of advanced information technology to understand the information being captured by US assets for benefit of US airmen to understand the environment they are working.
Jim was made a Master Mason in 2006 with Amicable Lodge #664. His motivation to become a mason was to join the Ziyara Shriners Drum and Bugle Corp. He served as Master of Amicable for two years from 2008 to 2009 and as Grand Lodge staff officer from 2015 to 2017. He is currently Secretary for Amicable Lodge #664 and New London Vienna #420 lodges. In addition to being President, Vice President and Treasurer for Ziyara Drum and Bugle Corp, Jim had been President of the always fun Western Shrine Club (You should join us for great meals and fellowship) and volunteer at fish frys (always use more help) and other fund raisers at the Shrine Centre. Kentucky Derby party is in May, always great time.
He was blessed to be placed in marriage to Bonita (Not Bonnie) Carcone Nagy on September 25, 1999 and blessed with one outstanding step child Melissa and grand daughter, Teylor Rose, the best dancer and gem of his heart. Bonita is an outstanding independent insurance agent with Turnbull Insurance.
Mr. Nagy also was on the technology committee for Grand Lodge of NY and helped develop the current website and voting practices for Grand Lodge annual communication. He is also the creator of the Oneida District Website (ocmasons.org) and the Oneida District Facebook page ( Ask to join)
Outside masonry, Jim is an active curler in Utica and Kayura lake (outside curling in February) curling club (what you saw in winter Olympics) and officer in charge of renting curling stones to new emerging curling clubs east of the Mississippi River.
In addition, he enjoys summer days in Sylvan Beach, NY and hearing music played by true professionals, come enjoy with me on a weekend.
